Smiths Lake holiday accommodation, Forster holiday accommodation, NSW holiday accommodation

Have you ever been to Smiths Lake? In between the Wallis and Myall Lakes is the smaller but just as majestic Smiths Lake, offering warm calm waters separated from the ocean by an impressive sandbar formation. Great Lakes Council does open this entrance when the waters in the lake become too high or need replenishing.

The township of Smiths Lake is approximately 25km south of Forster. Some three quarters of the catchment is forested or waterway. The lake is a largely undisturbed estuary of high scenic value. The town of Smiths Lake is located on the northern shore of the estuary and the southern shores are included within the Myall Lakes.

Our home Amaroo is beautifully positioned at a higher elevation on the edge of Smiths Lake. The prime positioning of the home gives you the opportunity to soak in the beauty and the tranquility of the lake.

The home is a short walk to the Smiths lake local shops. The town shops consist of a newsagent which stock groceries and videos for hire, a bakery, a liquor shop and a butcher. There is also a homely cafe and a beauty/hairdressing salon in the local shopping area.

A five minute drive from the house takes you to the PacificPalms shopping area near Blueys and Boomerang beach. This complex is equipped with more shops and restaurants to satisfy any holiday makers needs. In effect, most essentials can be obtained from the Smiths Lake local shops and the shops in Pacific Palms near Blueys and Boomerang beach. The welcome letter we email you when the home is booked gives you comprehensive information on activities, restaurants as well as more details of our beautiful suburb so that you can make the most of your holiday.

Things to do & Local Attractions:

* swimming, sailing, fishing, cycling
* Play pool and table tennis
* Enjoy a barbeque on the deck while you watch the sun set over the lake
* Surf or simply lie on the pristine Amaroo lake beach or ocean beaches nearby
* Explore the Myall Lakes and Wallingat National Parks
* Visit the lighthouse at Seal Rocks
*Relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the house
Cast a fishing line or launch a kayak, windsurfer or small boat from the backyard.
*Hire a boat, a kayak at Frothy Coffee boatshed or enjoy a snack by the lake
*Take a short drive to the un spoilt ocean beaches at Sandbar, Blueys, Boomerang, Elizabeth beach, Cellito or Seal Rocks.
*Drive through the Booti Booti National Park to enjoy the “Whoota Whoota Look Out”.
*Tour the nearby Myall Lakes and Booti Booti National Parks and enjoy the birdlife in its natural habitat or you might prefer to visit the craft galleries.

Smiths Lake is separated from the ocean by a natural sand Bar. The lake is ideal for all water sports. The lake is an ideal safe swimming area for kids.

A short drive to the south of Smiths Lake will take you to Seal Rocks lighthouse. From this spot you could spot whales migrating to the north during winter. The area also boasts a beautiful picnic spot.

There are two nine-hole golf courses in the area. If you prefer a more serious game of golf then 20 minutes drive to the north will take you to 18 hole courses in Forster and Tuncurry.

National Parks, rain forests, boat hire (Smiths Lake and Forster) local markets, bird watching, bush walking and by obtaining a permit you could venture on a four-wheel driving trip to the Sandbar Beach.

Forster and Tuncurry are only 20 minutes drive from home. This holiday area consists of lovely restaurants, cafes, various sporting facilities, and a indoor aquatic centre etc. The area is packed with interesting shops, a ten pin bowling ally, movie theatres, whale and dolphin cruises.

Major supermarkets (Coles and Woolworths), Bunnings, Kmart and many more shops are housed in Stockland Shopping mall in Forster. Mollymook holiday accommodation,South Coast holiday accommodation,NSW holiday accommodation- ozehols, South Coast Accommodation

In this blog we would like to give a desciption of the beautiful suburb Mollymook in the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Mollymook is the beach paradise township on the NSW south coast of Australia. It is within easy comfortable distance of Canberra and Sydney. Mollymook is your ideal escape for a beachside holiday any time of the year.

This fabulous beachside township is located only minutes from Ulladulla which has a picturous harbour and minutes from historic Milton and beach suburb Narrawallee. These four areas complement each other with their own special features, scenery and ambience. The surrounding townships offer an abundance of natures marvels with breathtaking scenery, forests, mountains and fascinating waterways.

Mollymook is known for its beautiful surf beach of never ending clean sands, crystal clear waters and also for its beautiful and lushes golf courses. Mollymook Beach is one of the south coasts most popular and best loved beaches. The beach is blessed with crystal clear waters and golden sands. The beach is wide and long with ample room for surfers, boogy board riders and fishers who can all enjoy the beach. One end of the beach is home to the Mollymook Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse. Mollymook beach is patrolled during the summer season. Close to the Surf club lies Mollymook’s beachside 9 hole scenic golf course.

Mollymook Beach often is the venue for the colourful & spectacular National and state surf lifesaving carnivals. Mollymook Beach also hosts international Beach Volleyball. This beach is an ideal place even if you want to have a picnic, read the papers or just relax gazing out over the beach and ocean. Many who visit enjoy the grassy reserves along the beach. Adjacent to the Mollymook Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse is a popular childrens playground. There is ample parking for those who visit the beach area and newly constructed bbq facilities and picnic benches are there for those who wish to make use of these facilities.

The far northern end of Mollymook Beach is another great swimming location. Visitors can continue north around the rocks to Bannister Head. Off Bannister Head is a favourite diving spot for the experienced divers.

Mollymook Bay is home to a pod of bottlenose dolphins who often stop at the beach to catch a wave - It is magnificent to witness these dolphins surfing and will stay in your memories forever. Whales are often spotted during migration seasons as they make their way up north along the east coast. Fish are plenty in the Mollymook bay. Boat fishing as well as fishing on the beach can be witnessed quite often.

Bogey Hole, a large circular rock pool located on Mollymook Headland is one of the most beautiful natural formations of Mollymook beach. The Bogey Hole is a tidal pool. It is very shallow at low tide and the formation of protective ring of rocks ensures a safe but fun environment for the young. Obviously these safe shallow waters make it an ideal location for families with young children and for people who prefer a calm spot for a swim. It is a great spot for a picnic day out. If you prefer safe snorkling then the Bogey hole is ideal for that too. It is an easily walk around the headland from the southern end of Mollymook Beach to the Bogey Hole and Collers Beach. You could also drive to its car park which is across Mollymooks Beachside 9 hole Golf Course.

Mollymook boasts two beautiful and scenic golf courses. The picturesque 9-hole Beachside Course has stunning sea views from the course, clubhouse and restaurant. Visitors are welcome at the 9 hole as well as the 18-hole championship Hilltop Course.

Mollymook and surrounding suburbs are so beautiful and you are sure to enjoy. In  www.ozehols.com.au  we have listed properties in Mollymook, Milton, Ulladulla and adjoining suburbs under south coast accommodation. For your convenience the links are:
