Broadwater

The site of one of the earliest settlements on the Richmond River, Broadwater is a quaint, friendly town centred around the sugar mill, the heart of the village. For many months of the year the mill is a vibrant part of the town with the crushing season commencing in early June and continuing until the end of the year.The town is adjacent to the Broadwater National Park which contains many hectares of flat heath country which, in spring, features vast areas of bright wildflowers including Pink Boronia, Wax flowers, Heath, Wedding Bush and many different species of Banksia.

Tree Tops Retreat,  Avalon Beach, NSW accommodation, Australia. Pittwater is the Northern peninsula of Sydney's Northern Beaches, about 45 minutes from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's a narrow strip of land with peaceful bays on one side (Clareville, Taylor's Point) and surf beaches on the other; Avalon, Bilgola, Whale and Palm beaches - all stunning golden sand beaches with sea pools.

A short ferry ride will take you over to The Basin which is a picturesque swimming lagoon in National Park bushland where you'll always see wallabies and native parrots as well as other wildlife. There are wonderful bush walks there too which you can experience while staying in this NSW holiday accommodation.

Avalon Village is about 10 minutes walk. There's a supermarket, excellent bookshop, gift shops, a French patisserie and lots of great cafes that serve good food.

We have many restaurants in the area, including the internationally famous Jonahs and Barrenjoey House but also many good brasseries and take-aways. We have a gourmet pizza restaurant and a delicious noodle house a few minutes walk away.

Whale watching tours, scuba diving and sea plane joy flights are all close by. You can also hire a "tinnie" boat at Palm Beach and head out onto the beautiful beaches and bays of Pittwater.
