Snowy Mountains

During the winter months, snow lovers and skiers frequent the mountains to enjoy the beautiful ski slopes. The nights spent inside the well equipped cabins and resorts are warm and cosy.

The ski resorts are easily accessible by car. The Kosciusko national Park which is the largest national park in the state forms a major portion of the snowy mountains. At the peak Mt. Kosciusko reaches 2228meters making it Australia’s tallest mainland mountain.

The well known ski resorts are located in Thredbo, Perisher, Smiggin Hole, Mt Blue Cow, CharlottePass and in Mt Selwyn.

As the snow melts the time arrives for bushwalking, fishing, cycling, water skiing, boating and horse riding. The beautiful, picturesque snowy mountains are an all year round tourist destination.
