Booto Booti National Park
As you turn off to Lakes way to drive along the scenic drive to
Smiths Lake, Wallis Lake and the lakeside suburbs of Seal Rocks and
Tarbuck Bay you find the 1500 hectares plus Booti Booti National Park
along Lakes Way. The park is frilled most part of it with the ocean on
one side and the majestic Wallis Lake on the other. The lakes and
waterways in the national park is superb for fishing, prawning,
kayaking, sailing and the sea beaches including Elizabeth and Seven Mile
beach are great for surfing and for swimming. Cape Hawke in the
national park offers you a viewing tower to enjoy superb panoramic views
of the sea beaches, Forster Lakes and Seal Rocks area. There are two
popular walks with varying degrees of difficulty. The one which begins
at the south end of the seven mile beach is a strenuous walk for the fit
which includes steep grades. The walk along the shore line along
Wallis Lake is more suitable for those who are not keen to challenge the
tougher walk. There are picnic spots and barbeque areas surrounded
with beautiful nature for those who like to have a relaxed picnic.
Wallinghat National Park

National Park consists mainly of eucalypt forests. Enjoy water sports
such as canoeing, kayaking while you are here and this park too is
superb for bush walkers. This national park located circa 30 km south
east of Forster consists of unsealed roads. The park offer picnic areas
and the waking tracks which follow the fire trail takes you to superb
spots for river fishing. When you are here, make your way to the Whoota
Lookout one of the best viewing platforms in mid north coast, providing
scenic views of the spectacular coastline between Port Macquarie and
Port Stephens.
Myall Lakes National Park
Incorporating over 31500 hectares of headlands, forests and swampland
and over 10000 hectares of coastal lagoons such as Myall Lake,
Boolambyte Lake, Two Mile Lake and Broadwater, this national park is one
of the most popular national parks in NSW. The national park offers you
over 40km of unbroken beaches and spectacular sand dunes. Some of them
are accessible by 4wd vehicles (obtaining a permit is a must). The
National Park offer visitors park land and picnic areas to chill out
while on holiday. Myall Lakes is such a wonderful area when you want to
indulge in myriad of water sporting fun while on vacation.
