If you love nature and explore nature while on your walks, then Blue Arrow Circuit in Mount Whitfield National Park is a must during your holiday in Cairns. The round trip is about 6.5 kilometers and could take 4 to 5 hours. The walk requires reasonable standard of fitness since this rainforest walk can take you up to altitudes of circa 300 meters. Half way round the circuit is a side track which takes you to the summit of Mount Lumley Hill, but be aware this walk can be rather strenuous and recommended only for the fit. From there you get magnificent views of the north Cairns coastline.
