Mollymook is known to be a seaside settlement going back as far as the 1850s. The name Mollymook is from a type of Albatross named Mollymawk. The main Mollymook Beach is a sheltered beach ideal for swimming, bogey borders and for surfers. A two minute drive north to Bannisters Point and Narrawallee Beach offer excellent surf conditions and surf lessons are also offered during school holidays.
One of Mollymooks best natural features is the ‘Bogey Hole’, a large rock pool located on Mollymook Headland. The Hole which is a tidal pool has become popular among families with young children.
