Nestled in the heath land of Yuraygir National Park is the beachfront town of Brooms Head offering lovely pristine beaches. The name Brooms Head first came to use in 1870s. It is said that a broom thought to have come from the wreck of the schooner ‘Eureka’, was washed up on the beach and the name “Brooms” was used thereafter. The location was originally known as Cakora Point. Brooms Head offers beautiful surf beaches and obviously has become a popular holiday destination among families, surfers, nature lovers and beach lovers.
The town has a variety of accommodation. When planning your holiday check out one of the Broome accommodation including a Broome Beach Resort or a Broome self contained accommodation offered by OzeHols for your Broome holidays.
