48 hours in Brisbane

48 hours in Brisbane. This information appeared in http://www.ozehols.com.au/blog/queensland/48-hours-in-brisbane-2/

When a friend of mine invited me to go to Brisbane with him, I was excited because I was about to go somewhere I have never been before, but I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I knew that Brisbane was a big city, the third largest city in Australia and the capital of Queensland and that was about it. I didn’t know anything about the culture, the people and the life in general. If I had known then what I know now, I wouldn’t have waited for my friend to invite me in order to go. Instead, I would have visited Brisbane long before that because I really had an amazing time. Well, if planning to visit for a few days, there are plenty of short term accommodation Brisbane for you to select.

In Brisbane, I found out that that there are really a lot of people living there, over 2 million. The city represents a unique urban environment where everybody is surprisingly nice, which is something that you don’t expect in a city with that many people. As soon as I got there, it was also obvious that they had a rich culture and that art is something that is greatly appreciated. And the weather was, as I found out, absolutely perfect. In fact, it was so perfect that I actually considered moving there.

The things that make Brisbane such a fantastic city are the architecture of the buildings and the attractions that took my breath away. For example, the Wheel of Brisbane looks great and it gives its visitors an opportunity to get a spectacular view of the city. For a great view, you can also visit the Story Bridge, which is another amazing attraction.  I also visited Anzac Square War Memorial, with its unique look, representing memories of one important part of the city’s history. Other attractions include the Old Government House, St John’s Cathedral and many others.

However, a simple sightseeing tour and getting a glimpse of what the city looks like is only the beginning. The things that you can do in Brisbane are the things that will amaze you and leave you almost speechless. Visiting Southbank is an experience that you definitely cannot miss out on, not only because this is a beach in the middle of the city. My visit to the beach was perhaps the best part of my visit to Brisbane altogether. And one advice I can give you- always visit local web-sites that promote the city and through them to get information about the authentic restaurants and similar places. And use any type of promotions such as offering discounts and coupons so that you do not always have to pay full price, and that spare you a lot of money and time.

If you are a fan of animals, then there are two things which you must do while in Brisbane. Namely, you must visit the Australian zoo, where you can see kangaroos and koalas and you must go to Moreton Island where you can not only see dolphins, but you can actually feed them as well.
Finally, when it comes to food, drink and nightlife in Brisbane, things couldn’t be better. There are many great restaurants which serve all kinds of authentic Australian, Italian, Asian and many other types of food. The majority of wines that are offered in restaurants and bars are made somewhere in the region and they are really exceptional. Some of the best restaurants are Ortiga and Moda. The nightlife is especially exciting and the city’s (CBD – central business district) clubs and pubs are the right choice. It was one of my best nights out ever.

When everything is considered, Brisbane really seems to be one of the greatest cities I’ve ever visited. It is definitely a perfect place to visit and from what I have seen, it is also a perfect place where you can live. If you are planning a visit, you should check out holiday accommodation Brisbane including Brisbane hotels and Brisbane accommodation CBD offered by OzeHols.

Leisure Holidays in Palm Cove

Leisure Holidays in Palm Cove. The information was published in http://www.ozehols.com.au/blog/queensland/leisure-holidays-in-palm-cove/

palm cove, palm cove queensland, palm cove accommodation, palm cove resort, palm cove caravan park, palm cove apartments
The Aboriginal people enjoyed this area and beach for thousands of years. Captain Cook rested in the cove during his exploration of the rim of Australia’s continent. On his well-known Northeast Coast Expedition, G.E. Dalrymple came ashore in the cove in the 1870s. Just a 30-minute drive north from Cairns in Northern Queensland, Palm Cove is a quiet beach resort where guests can relax away from the crowds and enjoy the seashore and natural surroundings. There is a variety of holiday accommodation in Palm Cove QLD including a Palm Cove Caravan Park for you to rent when looking for accommodation to holiday in the area.

Exploring the Coastline

Those visitors who select a car hire can explore up and down the coastline. Taking a drive on Captain Cook Highway can be an adventure in itself. This highway reaches about 75 kilometres between Cairns and Mossman where it connects to the Mossman-Daintree Road that meanders through the rainforest at Daintree.

Independent Holiday Itinerary

Palm Cove is the town for a fabulous beach holiday. People can have the freedom to hop in the car and drive anywhere in the region when they have secured a rental car for use during their stay. A convenient car hire opens up the possibilities for places to go each day. People can sleep in, get up and go or spend half the day out on the beach and the other half at some place to which they need to drive.
Here is a sampling of places to see within 40 kilometres or nearer to Palm Cove:

Barron Gorge National Park – This park provides wilderness for activities like swimming, hiking, wildlife watching and picnicking. White-water rafting is a popular extreme sport in the gorge. The scenery and terrain includes gorges, waterfalls and mountains.

Cairns’ Tropical Zoo and Night Zoo – Right in Palm Cove, this zoo has a huge number of animals native to the region. This interactive zoo lets guests get close, touch and experience the animals.
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure – Visitors can observe crocodiles and other native animals in their natural habitat. Presentations of various reptiles and animals by farm personnel are fun and educational.

Kuranda State Forest – This reserved forest offers room for hiking and trails for mountain biking. On the walking tracks, guests will find many opportunities for amazing nature photography.
Luxurious Spas – At the local resorts are various luxury spas. Guests can book treatments individually or as friends or couples.

Taking a Leisure Beach Holiday

Right within the town, visitors will find things to keep them busy during hours when they want to stay close to their hotel or to a restaurant where they have reservations. Palm trees are a common site in the Palm Cove, and pathways and the beach are perfect for strolling or jogging. People who love fishing spend time on the Palm Cove jetty. At the beach, people can swim in the designated areas surrounded by stinger nets, and they can hire jet skis. Whatever visitors want to do and see during their stay in the quiet seaside town of Palm Cove is open to them when they have car hire transportation.

What are you waiting for? We invite you to book one of the Palm Cove resorts or one of the Palm Cove apartments offered by OzeHols when planning your memorable holiday in Palm Cove Queensland.

This post comes from Aew at Skedaddle Car Hire, a website dedicated to giving you destination guides to as many locations down under as possible.
