Floriade – Canberra

Floriade – Canberra. This article also appeared in http://www.ozehols.com.au/blog/australian-capital-territory/floriade-canberra/

This year, Floriade 2013 is held in Canberra from 14th September to 13th October. Every year it is held during the same time of the year running from mid September to mid October displaying a magnificent array of colours mainly consisting of new varieties of beautifully displayed Tulips.

Visitors from all over Australia and tourists from all over flock to Canberra to admire this wonderful and amazingly colourful selection of Tulips.
Accommodation in Canberra is highly sort after during this period. You could always check in to one of the Canberra holiday rentals or any other holiday accommodation in Canberra including one of the Canberra caravan parks offered by OzeHols.

We spent a weekend in the Mollymook holiday house, Breeze in Mollymook located in the popular south coast beach suburb Mollymook. We drove to Canberra from there which is approximately 2 hours taking you through scenic beachside suburbs of Dolphin Point, Burill Lake, Tabouries Lake and Batemans Bay. At Batemans Bay the road takes you inland towards Canberra.

If you love colour and if you love beautiful flowers, then a visit to Floriade is a must. There is plenty of activities for children of all ages. There are several outlets displaying and selling products of Australia including garden tools, food items, jewellery etc etc.
