Ballarat
is known to be Victoria’s largest inland city. The city located in the
central highlands of Victoria still carries the historic charm of the
bygone gold boom era. For those who wish to explore Ballarat, there are Ballarat caravan parks and motels in Ballarat providing short term accommodation for your stay.

Until 1851 Ballarat was known to be a small town. Then the rich
alluvial goldfields were discovered and the population in the town began
to swell. It is on record that Australia’s first civil battle took place
here in 1854 when the Gold miners refused to pay the government license
fee and battled with the police and troops. Today Ballarat is a vibrant
tourist destination with many museums, art galleries, antique shops,
craft shops and many beautiful parks and gardens for visitors to wonder
around and relax.
