Standing 50 feet tall it, has walls two feet thick. The mill is Australia’s third oldest Windmill (1837) and was built by John Vincent.
It is the only remaining tower of its kind in Tasmania, a much loved rustic landmark and a towering symbol of Colonial enterprise.Within the complex is the original Millers Cottage and Granary. There is a Visitors Centre onsite.
