The Cairns Night Zoo is an amazing Aussie night out! Come and see what the Aussies get up to after dark! Enjoy a delicious barbecue of steak, chicken, fresh prawns, steamed rice and vegetables, salads and desserts. Your night also includes complimentary beers, wines and soft drinks.The guided spotlighting tour which begins after dinner is a great experience! Meet some of Australia’s favourite animals in their habitat. See crocodiles, koalas, owls, and other furry creatures. During the tour sample Billy Tea and Damper around the campfire with the authentic ‘Swaggie’ and the tame kangaroos. You could feed kangaroos out of your hand. Back at the entertainment area exchange the spotlight for a cold beer or wine and join in with the resident bush musician. You will able to learn some great Aussie folk songs and dance with the ‘zoo folk’. it’s great fun for all ages and nationalities.
Transfers are available from Cairns, Beaches and Port Douglas. Since numbers are limited pre booking is absolutely essential. This excellent evening activity operates every Monday to Thursday and Saturday night from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Note: Cairns Night Zoo is open from 1900 to 2200 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Opening times are the same on public holidays as long as they are on Monday to Thursday or Saturday. Cairns Night Zoo is closed on Christmas Day,
